Hi, I’m Emma!

As the founder of The Reading Group, I am passionate about supporting individuals, families, teams, work groups and organisations to create environments, work or family cultures and lives that are engaging, creative, productive, empowering and most importantly, meaningful. To do this requires the right focus, the right language, creating a shared vision and leadership skills in our own lives; to create a supportive structure that builds trust in ourselves and others, allows innovation, risk taking, and facilitates growth and achievement of our goals.

I strive to see the value in all things and people and love assisting individuals, families, teams and organisations to harness the positive, productive and powerful energy of an engaged and positive mind, family, team or workforce.

I love bringing the conceptual or theoretical to life in the practical and believe that we can always make a positive difference to whatever context we find ourselves in. No problem or barrier is too small or large to negotiate; there is always a way! I enjoy the power of humour in bringing people together and creating a positive atmosphere.

I have over 20 years in government and private organisations in clinical and leadership roles, supporting individuals, teams and families to reach their potential. I completed my Organisational Psychology Masters degree as I see the power of the collective, the systems and processes that can work together to enhance the outcomes for all. Since graduating from the Masters, I have led significant strategic learning and development projects, organisational change initiatives and am skilled in coaching and group facilitation.

As a clinician I have worked in the NDIS service provision space in leadership roles and behaviour support services. I have extensive experience and knowledge within this context.

Working with both individuals and leadership teams, my goal is to facilitate authentic and values-driven leadership, enhancing engagement by building connection and shared purpose.

As a coach, my approach is collaborative, values and strengths-driven, engaging clients in the creation of goals, based on self-awareness, clarity of vision and strategies to combat any identified barriers. In addition, I am able to utilize clinical and therapeutic experience to support individuals, teams and families with issues such as stress, anxiety, and overwhelm that can impact their lives, workplace efficiency, engagement and experience of success and mastery.

As a clinical supervisor, I work with people to grow their skills in reflection, ethical practice and appropriate methods of intervention. Encouraging each person to find their best approach to the provision of high quality, evidenced-based clinical services, finding their style, their strengths and the ongoing development of their skills.

I am passionate about supporting people to explore their future and identifying the pathways and options available to successfully achieve their vision and purpose.
